I made a simple syrup with the Trader Joe’s one and steed rosemary in it. Hit it with the smallest amount of smoked salt. I feel like I shouldn’t have even shared it’s so good

I felt so duped the other day when I bought maple butter just to realize it’s just whipped maple syrup. I already use maple syrup as my coffee sweetener so it was kinda pointless.

Canadian and self-proclaimed maple expert (also a professional cook and used to work at a maple farm) instead of maple butter I would be comparing various grades of maple syrup... the lightest grade is considered by many to be the best but I personally prefer the darkest grade as I feel it has the most depth of flavor
