Acts 17 states that God does not dwell in temples made by human hands. It’s notable that no scripture, including the Book of Mormon, describes Mormon temples. Yet the rituals, handshakes, and symbols used in them appear to be repurposed from Masonic tradition. Joseph Smith became a Master Mason on March 16, 1842 — a decade after the Book of Mormon was published in 1830 — and introduced the temple endowment ceremony just two months later, on May 4, 1842. That timing may explain why so much of what Mormons practice today isn’t found in the Book of Mormon: Joseph hadn’t yet developed those ideas when he wrote it.

You know how it’s all about perspective? There’s a lot of people that see that like the castle of Mordor.

What an exquisitely beautiful holy building. I love seeing it. I am amazed that a bunch of dirt poor farmers and pioneers built this in the middle of nowhere. ❤️

And God said they will build massive temples in my name for they will all crumble but building you the temple in your heart and in your mind for your mind will take you many places you should not be for God has told us though keep on shining with the Holy Spirit and waiting for our bridegroom to open the door to eternityand we all need to turn in words or we will never find him

please describe the death sequence in the mormon church temple endowment
• The "Penalties" (Death Oaths): Prior to April 1990, the Latter-day Saint (LDS) temple endowment ceremony included symbolic gestures—known as "penalties"—that depicted the consequences of revealing sacred signs, tokens, and names.
• The Three Symbolic Deaths: Participants made oaths of secrecy and mimed execution styles associated with specific parts of the body:
• The Throat: Pledged that they would rather have their "throat cut from ear to ear, and the tongue torn out by its roots" than reveal the secrets, accompanied by drawing a thumb across the throat.
• The Heart: Pledged that their "breast would be torn open and the heart and vitals torn out," accompanied by drawing a hand across the chest.
• The Bowels: Pledged that their "body would be cut asunder and the bowels gush out," accompanied by drawing a thumb across the stomach
