I mean, I can't imagine they sell a lot, but it would be helpful when your bag breaks when you're already at the airport, or you've bought a bunch of stuff in duty free and need an extra bag. or for anyone that doesn't check the acceptable criteria for their luggage before going to the airport then realises the bag they have is too big or doesn't meet criteria so they need a different one

I get your take. but, my mum was coming home from China and her suitcase broke. in fact, most of those stores are for people whom may have a old or broken suitcase

My most recent OS trip. Had cleared customs and was walking past the Billabong shop and wondered who would be buying full priced clothes there, especially when DFO is next door. An hour later and they call for boarding to commence shortly. So stop at the bathroom quickly ahead of a 14hr flight and low and behold my zipper broke. Guess who now owns a $100 pair of Billabong trackies? I was in such a rush that I asked the attendant if I could just purchase them and get changed in their fitting rooms. Lucky theyre comfy
