They’re sooo slow slick till they dumb! POA is INVALID after death! Point blank period, everything has to go through probate and you have to be appointed by the court as his P.R. (Personal Representative) and with that appointment you have a year to deal with his estate and debts cars etc… what she thought she could do was go get her dream car in his name with invalid POA paperwork then write it off later with P.R. . The bank starts the process with the dealership for you to take ownership of the vehicle… obviously banks & credit bureaus etc. didn’t know he was dead yet.. then dealership has 45 days min (in most states) to start the process of titling.. *hence temp tags* clearly upon starting that process the dmv then had his account inactive/deceased and THATS when they started the investigation. So it’s not really the dealership’s fault… she knew that man was dead & that’s fraud! Sorry for your loss tho.

The fact that she signed his name and then wanted to claim POA is crazy because you have to sign your name and POA next to it.
