retail is the same thing but you get there in a vehicle and have to kill 400 peons by pressing the vehicles aoe button only to be rewarded with an ingame cutscene that broke 3 xpacs ago and 200 rep for a faction you won't interact with ever again the moment you outlevel the zone(you'll outlevel it halfway through the story and get a popup telling you to play the new xpac).

The only thing you forgot to add in there was the 2 hours it took to actually get the pick axes. 1 out of every 1,000 killed would give it. At least that’s what it felt like. The questing and the 2-4 month level grind is the only thing I don’t miss at all about pre-bc. The only things. Blizz should have nerfed the exp leveling requirement. That’s what’s going to kill this game faster than anything.

What really pmo was the Skyborne quest where I had to collect the elf ears from the cultists. One whole level and over an hour later, finally got 10. Like… they had such a low drop rate and only dropped 1 ear at a time like what?
