This may be a hot take but if you’re a DJ who can’t find a way to work in a Beastie Boys song and still keep the crowed hyped, maybe you’re just not a good DJ. I was at a club once and bro managed to work in kids songs like Hokey Pokey and the theme song for Barney while still keeping the crowed hyped. lol. It got to the point where people were intentionally requesting horrible songs just to challenge him on how he worked them in. Not all DJs are built the same I guess.
