@everofearth: there’s something i’ve been meaning to tell you.. i’ve felt stuck for a long time. working in restaurants since 16, bartending through my 20s while trying to figure out what i wanted to be when i grew up. before i knew it, my 30th was just around the corner. i didn’t like the life i was living. depressed because of an injury, leaning into bad habit, isolating myself. then i was hit with more suffering than i could imagine. my brother died of an overdose in june. and i have never been more shook to change something about my life. so, i took a jump. i quit my job, ended my lease, found a home for my cats, and bought a one way ticket out of the country. yea, i kinda ran away but i was more scared to stay. my intention is to be gone a long time.. see the world, walk across countries, and scratch that itch. i have prepared to travel for a year and this is just the beginning. in the past month i’ve flown to france, summited the pyrenees and continued walking across northern spain. magic happens every day and i am incredibly blessed for every moment and person i meet. it hasn’t been easy but id rather this than rot in the states. i am taking a leap and i can’t wait to see where it takes me next ✨ #solotravel #quitmyjob #free #backpacking
