Chơn Minh :
Human life is like a single day passing by.
Dawn is when we are born.
Noon is when we grow and mature.
Sunset is when we grow old.
And when the sun disappears below the horizon, that is when a life comes to an end.
And then, when one day ends, another day begins.
In the same way, when one life ends, another life begins.
The human mind, in the busyness of life, is like the waves of the sea.
One wave after another keeps washing toward the shore.
From one desire to another.
From one thing we hate to another.
The mind keeps moving restlessly, just as the sea is constantly stirred by waves.
As long as the wind keeps blowing, the waves keep rising.
In the same way, as long as craving and aversion continue to arise, the mind keeps being disturbed and carried away by them.
Perhaps the way to find peace is not to fight the waves, but to see them clearly:
A wave is just a wave.
It rises, and it passes away.
We don't have to chase it.
We don't have to become it.
When the wind becomes still, the sea naturally becomes still.
