Type of person you want teacheing your kids. The ones willing to risk their own life trying to save your babies life if it was necessary in emergency. I’m so sad for her family and rest in peace to that teacher ❤️

When my daughter was in 2nd grade, they had field trip to a parents home for pool party. Parents were big donors to the private school. I was only parent who inquired about lifeguard being present. Because the suggestion and inquiry came from me, I was ostracized. I didn’t care. My daughter did not go and I made fun plans with her that day.

Never swim by a spillway. Crazy vortex underwater. Don’t know if that’s what happened, but in my area there’s a spillway that has claimed many lives, kayakers, fishermen, swimmers. Once you get in the vortex, almost impossible to get out

Why did they go to field trip without enough staff. If the teacher had to save the child that means she was probably the only adult around. The school needs to send enough staff with the kids during field trips.

When my son finished fifth grade, his class went to a park with a pool for their graduation celebration. I didn’t let him go, and he was the only one who missed it. But I felt at peace with my decision. When my other son finished eighth grade, his class went to Pirates Bay Waterpark, and I didn’t let him go either. the thought of putting their safety in someone else’s hands terrifies me.
