fun fact - the East Mids have a very "weak" accent compared to other parts of the UK, with Nottingham having one of the weakest. it means that we end up picking up accents from other areas and people very easily:)

Born and bred Nottingham and tbh I can’t even place a nottingham accent😅 I have a friend from Luton and even she says Nottingham don’t really have a distinct accent because it’s like a mixture of northern & southern same for our slang it’s a mixture of both
