@catekettner: 🚨 I HAVE NEVER WASHED OFF MY ENTIRE FACE OF MAKEUP THIS FAST. 🚨 I found this makeup primer at Dollar Tree that was advertised as a blurring + pore-refining primer, so naturally I had to put it to the test. 👀 The directions said to use 2 pumps on the back of your hand and apply a thin layer over your face, so I followed the instructions EXACTLY. But the second I started applying it, I knew something was wrong. 😳 This stuff felt like STRAIGHT-UP ELMER’S GLUE. 😭 It was incredibly sticky and uncomfortable, but I decided to soldier on and trust the process by letting it set for a full 60 seconds per the instructions. At first, my skin looked okay-ish, so I went in with a cream highlighter. BIG mistake. It would NOT blend. And this is a highlighter that normally blends beautifully! But did I give up? Nope. 😂 I decided to keep going with my foundation because I was using my Beauty Blender, and that usually saves the day when a product is giving me trouble. Except… NOPE. My foundation was immediately looking patchy, uneven and impossible to blend. Everything felt incredibly sticky, and when I got closer to the mirror, I could actually see my makeup separating AND starting to pill. 😳 That was my sign. FACE. WASHED. OFF. I redid my skincare and applied my makeup the way I normally do — NO PRIMER — just good skincare underneath my makeup and then layering my products over the top. And LOOK AT THE DIFFERENCE. 👏🏼 My skin looked smoother, more even, more blurred, and my makeup actually blended beautifully. My rating for this primer?
