I’m a physiotherapist, and for many years I worked in a specialized hospital near Paris with people who had undergone leg or arm amputations. They were young, old, and everything in between. I have so much admiration for every single one of them — for their determination, their strength, their courage, and their refusal to give up. Every day, they fought not only to rebuild their physical abilities, but also to overcome the psychological challenges that came with such a life-changing experience. They set themselves incredibly high goals and kept pushing forward, wanting to live, to achieve, to become independent again. I had the privilege of helping them through rehabilitation — getting them back on their feet, teaching them to walk with prostheses, and supporting them as they discovered what was possible again. Honestly, those people taught me more than I could ever teach them. Working with them was the most meaningful and beautiful period of my professional life. Watching you dance with such strength and determination brings back so many memories. You are a true inspiration. Never underestimate how much your courage can teach other people. ❤️
