Weird, I’ve told my bf he needs to get hobbies, get friends, get interests outside of me, he says he doesn’t need any of that. Well, I’m sorry but I have a full life outside of the relationship and the strain it causes to be your social network, your romantic partner, your entertainment director, and everything in between is just too much. she pretty much hit the nail on the head at the end there. at some point, we as a society started reinforcing bad habits onto young women. if there's an issue with their relationship then the advice is always to leave him and look for someone else, not to look introspectivly at her own actions. how does that improve you over time? it doesn't. it gives them a get-out-of-jail free card that bypasses any notion that it could be their fault. and we wonder why accountability with young women is on the decline
