Y’all, we know in the book she’s Vietnamese and that the actor is Filipino. I think they’re trying to say that they could’ve at least changed the name to a Filipino one bc it’s very much a Vietnamese name

As a Filipino, I didn't hear her family mentioning adobo, so I was confused when my sisters said that she's Filipino when I knew that she was Viet in the book. Then Olive says Anh is Filipino which baffled me because even if there are Ann/Anne's in the Philippines, it's not Anh. Also, my youngest sister who's a huge newjeans fan clocked the Pham at the credits. She said Pham is a vietnamese surname, and even brought Hanni in the conversation lmao.
