shanghai | portrait 💋 honest review of my photoshoot experience in shanghai 🫶🏼 i honestly had quite a hard time finding a studio that felt legit, professional AND trustworthy. especially because i don’t normally use wechat / rednote, so the search was even harder. i eventually came across this studio on rednote, and after looking through their packages + portfolio, i decided to go with them because the overall vibe seemed pretty close to what i was looking for. i opted for 2 looks: ✧ portrait | 肖像 ✧ lifestyle | 松弛时尚 i think one thing that really helped the photos turn out closer to what i wanted was being very clear with the team about my preferences. for example, i specifically requested for a natural makeup look that actually suited me, rather than the super white, heavy makeup that might fit their usual beauty standard. so i’d say don’t be afraid to communicate what you want! bring references, tell them what you like / don’t like, and be as specific as possible. what surprised me the most was actually how comfortable i felt throughout the shoot. i initially thought i might feel awkward having a male photographer, but my cameraman (小虎老师) made me feel really comfortable! he directed my poses throughout the shoot, which made things SO much easier. there was a bit of a hard sell during the photo selection portion, which i wasn’t really expecting, but overall i’d still say the experience was a pleasant one! if anyone’s interested, the studio is 懒猫摄影 Lazy Cat Studio. you can search up <lanmaosheying888> directly on wechat and ask them for their latest package pricing + portfolio if you’re considering doing a photoshoot in shanghai! hope this helps hehe 🩷 #shanghai #shanghaiphotoshoot #shanghaiphotography #写真 #肖像写真
