I remember when a midwife once shared a testimony in church. She said there was a woman in labour who was in critical condition. The woman was pregnant with twins, and the midwife became really scared because she was worried that the woman might die while she was on duty. According to her, they really hated recording deaths at the hospital, so she decided to transfer the woman to another hospital. The journey to the other hospital was about 30 minutes, but unfortunately, the woman died on the way. What really shocked me was that the midwife was actually praising God and thanking Him for not allowing her to record a death during her shift, even though the woman had lost her life on the way to the hospital.

in my selected church in school(babcock university), they do testimonies once once, soo what if people are thanking God about how their tests/mid-semesters turned out well or their project defense or about getting an A in a course unexpectedly, mind you saying all these without mentioning anything else or bringing anyone down. does that mean they’re being callous/insensitive cause there are people that might have gotten within d-f in a course or didn’t do well in their tests, exams or even in their project defense?

My mom’s society member was testifying how she exchanged her seat from front to back with another bush market friend because of her long leg, and minutes later a stray bullet from the drivers corner hit/shot the woman. She came to testify and asked her members to join her in thanksgiving for saving her life. NB my mom was happy for her. I asked my mom a simple question, if it was her biological sister or daughter (let’s say they went to the bush market together) will she come for thanksgiving mass? What if the deceased person has families/relatives in the parish, how tf will they feel?🤦🏽♀️. My mama no fit answer, the testimony vexxxxxxxxedd me ehhh,
