@manavpod: The M2 Browning fires massive .50 BMG rounds. Its 38 kilo body can fire 600 rounds. The same basic design remains in military service. #M2Browning #50BMG #MilitaryHistory

then DSHK walks in

Astro_by_gordix📷🌕🔭 :

what about russian 14.7mm ?

Pradz :

I prefer the M3 variant which fires at a rate of 1200 rd/min still using the .50 cal BMG round but using an open bolt than the close bolt M2

Joseph :

It’s the perfect design, will last for hundreds of years

8.8Milicasion⚡ :

yeah the M2 Browning and MG34 was a beast of its time and it's still is now

Jipery :

Btw if any of yall are new to guns and wondering why they don’t make the fire rate faster, ignoring the cooling issues and logistical things, a gun that fires 20 rounds per second isn’t able to suppress a position for long periods of time, even if they fire in bursts. A slower fire rate makes it so that they can sustain fire for much longer without swapping barrels or reloading

🤷 :

The 50 cal is the biggest

Skipperᯓ★ :

It can be that, or even some instances, it could be the rare KPVT Soviet Machine gun with a 14.5mm round, it's rare but it's used as a mount.

логнупкий :

holy glaze Kord better

Brandyn Dean :

Acualy the mk19 could be considered a larger one since it shoots a 40mm get axe but it depend on in what aspect your think of it

TikTokkari :

like 5usd/shot?

M2 doesn’t fire fast compared to the M3 used on aircraft such as the F86 or tanks like the M60 Ambt
