Falls, They had been telling her for years to leave because it isn’t her home. She was renting it—the original rental contract was made with her father, who paid €400 a month. Then, after her father died, the tenancy was transferred to her mother, and later to her daughter. It’s a rental property; the apartment does not belong to her. They offered her alternatives, but she says she wants to live in the city center, even though she can’t afford €1,400 in rent. She doesn’t want to move somewhere else either. They offered her free accommodation and even offered to sell her the apartment for €200,000, but she turned everything down.
