@pubity: Artist Maya Barkai turned one of the world’s most familiar symbols into a global art project. Walking Men Worldwide™ is a series of public installations featuring pedestrian traffic icons photographed in cities around the world and brought together as a life-sized collage. The project began in Manhattan in 2010 and later appeared across cities including Sydney, Buenos Aires and Taipei, highlighting how something as ordinary as a crossing sign can look completely different across cultures.
