I believe his hand damage is psychological. Interesting it is the pinkie, mirroring Pio's psychological problem with his pinkie (caused be the constant stress from his toxic mom). The title of the drama only makes sense in that they both heal their psychological trauma through the mutual emotional safety they find in each other, leading them to finally be able to play with all 4 hands in the end, thus breaking the generational trauma passed on to them.

Every single time Jeongyo tried to find something to hold onto, every time he tried to be happy, every time he tried to rebuild his life and finally get himself out of that hell, fate just found a way to screw him over. My boy has really had such a heartbreaking life, and he still does... How can you look at that Jeongyo from the beginning of the series, so full of excitement and innocence, with those eyes literally sparkling with love, and compare him to the Jeongyo who lost TEN YEARS of his life because of those same feelings and all the sacrifices he made? His heart was shattered, he went through so much emotional and psychological pain, and on top of all that, he can't even play his favorite instrument anymore because of his hand injury. And yet people still choose to hate on him?! Like, can you seriously not see the pain in my baby's eyes?! Those eyes are literally screaming, "I'VE BEEN THROUGH HELL!!!!" I swear to God, if people keep hating on this boy, I'm gonna lose my mind 😭 I still feel so damn bad for him because I'm convinced that if he takes revenge on Pio, he'll only end up destroying himself all over again. Every time those two have ended up on opposite sides, they both lost, because they're not enemies and they're not rivals. They're literally two people who complete each other. Nobody can say Jeongyo suffered more or that Pio suffered more, because you can't compare their pain like that. Both Jeongyo and Pio's lives were ruined by people who cared about nothing but their own selfishness and what they could gain. 😭
