A difference started to arise between Arabs and non-Arabs, and people wanted a new change. At the same time, the descendants of the Prophet's ﷺ uncle, Hazrat Abbas (RA), started a movement. Their slogan was: *"For the family of Muhammad ﷺ"* Abu Muslim al-Khurasani rose from Khurasan with black flags. People joined him in large numbers. Finally, in 750 AD, the last Umayyad Caliph, Marwan II, was defeated in the Battle of the Zab, and the *Abbasid Caliphate* began. The Abbasids shifted the capital from Damascus to Baghdad and made Baghdad the largest center of knowledge in the world.
