It’s simple. TG Jones will have said we need a big rent reduction to keep this branch open. The owner has put up for lease in the hope of getting a tenant who will pay full whack. That likely won’t happen and TG Jones will likely stay on a shorter lease at (12 months) at a much reduced rate. Next year the same thing will happen again.
