@cryptotrading_insights: BSL & SSL ICT Concepts | Internal vs External Liquidity | ICT SMC | Liquidity Pools Liquidity in ICT/SMC In ICT/SMC, liquidity refers to the concentration of pending orders, stop-losses, and breakout orders around important price levels. Smart money can seek these areas because they contain available orders that can facilitate larger positions. Main Types of Liquidity Buy-Side Liquidity (BSL) Usually found above old highs, swing highs, and equal highs. → Buy stops commonly rest above these levels. Sell-Side Liquidity (SSL) Usually found below old lows, swing lows, and equal lows. → Sell stops commonly rest below these levels. Equal Highs (EQH) Two or more highs at approximately the same price. → Often considered a pool of BSL. Equal Lows (EQL) Two or more lows at approximately the same price. → Often considered a pool of SSL. Previous Day High/Low (PDH/PDL) Previous session extremes can act as liquidity targets. Previous Week High/Low (PWH/PWL) Weekly extremes can contain significant liquidity. Asian / London Session Highs & Lows Session extremes can become intraday liquidity pools, particularly around the New York session. Internal Liquidity (IRL) Liquidity located inside the current dealing range, such as short-term highs/lows and internal swing points. External Liquidity (ERL) Liquidity located outside the current dealing range, commonly major swing highs/lows. Simple ICT idea Liquidity → Sweep → Displacement → Retracement → Entry For example: BSL above a previous high → price sweeps the high → bearish displacement → retracement into a PD Array → short entry. The important distinction is that liquidity is not simply “a level where price will reverse.” It represents an area where orders are likely concentrated; the subsequent price reaction and market structure provide the context. #ICT #ICTSMC #SmartMoneyConcepts #Liquidity #BSL
