It’s really hard to change your beliefs on something so big. I commend you. One thing I do to prevent staying in an echo chamber, is I every once in a while drop into the “opposing sides” subreddit to read their pov. It helps me understand where the other side is coming from and has opened my eyes and changed my perspective a little bit. Good for you for seeing the files as the big deal they are. That’s one thing I thought we could all come together on and agree on as awful, but I guess some people are okay with that stuff :(

It’s hard to do the inner work. Everyone has bias and it’s hard at times to pierce into ourselves and alter long held beliefs. What you’re doing is deconstructing and many people never event attempt to challenge their past beliefs.
