Rembo Classic currently operates four electric buses. According to Benson, a single electric bus generates Ksh250,000 in monthly profit, which is Ksh100,000 more than what a diesel bus generates. The electric bus costs about Ksh1.5 million to hire and requires no servicing, compared to a diesel bus that costs about Ksh7 million.
