You can start with something as simple as installing an application and eventually find yourself learning how processes work, how services are managed, how network connections are configured, how logs are analyzed, how servers communicate, and how software is deployed. This is one of the things that makes Linux so interesting. It gives you the opportunity to understand what is happening inside your computer instead of hiding everything behind a simplified interface. The more you learn, the more layers you discover. What starts as curiosity about a different operating system can turn into an entire journey through programming, system administration, networking, cybersecurity, DevOps, servers, and open-source software.
