If they add colorable patterns, that’s actually a very simple thing to add. They would have to rework the system, but it would literally be as simple as replacing the texture part and converting that to a surface appearance, and then allowing the player to change the color based on the slider inside the surface appearance (every item already has a surface appearance in it so they would just have to replace the current surface appearance with the pattern surface appearance)
