I loveee nessa but I feel like Aftercare was pure nessa in her unique whole self with her voice / lyrics / sound. This new album isn’t 100% her it’s a twist of another era she’s trying but not organic Nessa, so it doesn’t hit as hard and good as Aftercare or Young Forever

I feel like something that was so appealing from her was that her lyricism was so raw and you could tell she was either sad/happy/nostalgic/angry but this album feels so empty like she just did for the vibes that’s why it feels so off

Guys I’m pretty sure you feels this was about the lyrics not because they actually suck but just cuz their not as emotional deep as the past projects. These lyrics aren’t to be deep or introspective like before they are to feed an aesthetic and inspired but dark romance books she reads. Which I think she hits the nail on the head with.
