backstory: basically me and my coworkers were otw to yogurtland from our job, when we seen a group of about 6-7 girls between the age of maybe 11-13 get off a car in the MIDDLE of the street running without making sure any incoming cars were passing? Anyway we begin getting our order when we realize the girl at the cashier paying for her order was getting a little loud. At first we didn’t think much of it until I see this girl slam her hand on the counter w attitude demanding for a manager mind you, not asking but DEMANDING. Anyway the lady who she was having the issue with was explaining there was no manager on shift and the little girl continues to get louder & go on about how this lady stole $20? the little girl then turns around and looks at two of the girls she walked in with sitting down already and loudly says “she just stole my $20!” I’m observing how the lady is trying to stay calm and find a solution so one of her coworkers goes and calls another lady from the back. The lady proceeded to tell her there was no manager on shift and unfortunately could not do a refund. So she gets upset but at that moment me and my coworkers decided to leave because we had already been taken care of. As we were in the line getting ready to walk off, I realized the girl in the white hat turned and looked at us kinda off for a sec, again I didn’t think much of it but then I see the girl right before us turn around and do the same thing. I wasn’t recording until I caught the second girl and realized it was a strange glare? Not everyone will see an issue with this but the point is that these girls are only between 11-13 yrs old and are already beginning to think and act such a way, and it’s hard to judge these little girls when this type of behavior is first seen and taught at home, with parents. the lady, I and my coworker are poc, It made me realize the mindset of these girls and behavior is so entitled because it’s not corrected but normalized. many in the fast food industry know it’s not always easy to come across interactions like this, especially because we are forced to keep our personal feelings from work environment but as someone who has family living in fear, limited opportunities and access to simple human rights, and watch families be forced apart, this absolutely raged me. And it is that deep because in no world should it be ok for a girl that age to feel like treating another human being that way is acceptable. The lady who she was having the issue with treated the whole situation very calm and respectful, god knows I would have lost my job immediately because where are your parents I’m not arguing with a minor if I’m a grown adult anyway teach the little ones better, and shame on the parents. #fortworth
