Fun fact, no guarantee the job you think is going to fulfill you actually will. It may suck and now you’re working a worse job for half the money.

It gets a lot easier when you realize a job is just for money. get your fulfillment somewhere else.

I don't give a shit about the neighbors. My buts are, but my kids need to eat, but my kids need healthcare, but kids college costs $30k a year at a state school, but car insurance is $400/mth. Most parents sacrifice their pursuit of a meaningful career for the benefit of their family, not to wear a nice watch. His point is not based in reality.

For most of us our buts are our kids. It’s only when they get on their own can you consider dumping all that. Then you’re 50+

Those shouldn’t be the two options. EVERYONE should get paid to have a fulfilling life within whatever career they choose period. If you want to buy a yacht or vacation home then get a higher paying job. But a house, electric, internet, water, food, a vehicle, and phones should be automatic with any job. Period.

men are fulfilled by providing for our wife, children and hopefully our community. We will find very little fulfillment in focusing on us. It is an honor and privilege to have the ability to provide for others. If you focus on I, you will end up miserable

Looking for fulfillment in your work is like looking for water in Mars. The whole "fulfillment in your work" narrative is rubbish. Do something you are good at, make your money and find fulfillment in life. Work isnt life.

This is a lie we’re being told by wealthy people exploiting the working class. We should be able to work any full time job and earn a living wage. Shifting career paths shouldn’t be such a big drop in salary.

Idk, fulfillment seems like a hard stretch to make these days. I’m just trying to eat my dog. Once my ticket hits that, I don’t need to play this game anymore; I’m out.
