What do you mean by time , show me what your view of time is.I have a sun dial that moves through an angle in one second even though it may be very small and you have a clock that moves through a different angle to mine which view of the second is correct , it’s a matter of semantics.On fact my geometry is different to your geometry , there is no standardised geometry , spacetime is only one type of geometry there are an infinite number of geometries.

I thought that the reason time is different under QM is because space is treated as an empty background. If it was treated as warped fabric like in GR we would get similar time. Or something like that.

the problem is that we are not allowing the universe to speak to us. gravity is clearly not a quantized force. no matter how much we try or how uncomfortable we are with it that is the reality. Einstein's equations do not allow for a quantized translation of the force in reality.
