All that matters is the warranty, cause you’re going to break tools regardless.

Matco toolboxes are far superior better drawer slides thicker steel last longer better finish Matco toolboxes are 100% the best boxes out there. I have had mine for 26 years and they still warranty drawer, slides, and all of the other parts on it.

Matco still makes new tools and their tool guys show up. Crap on makes whiskey decanters and chess boards while taking 8-18 months to warranty a simply ratcheting wrench.

had a guy at a shop i used to work at buy a 1/2" impact. he had it for no longer than a month at a time before it had to be sent off to repair. took months for it to come back. he had to do that 4 times before he bought a milwaukee 1/2".

Matco is good shi strap-ons quality has gone down the drain and their prices keep going up lets not forget certain tool truck companies are top tier but only in certain categories and you also have to think about availability and warranty wise matco is a great brand and its cheaper than most tool trucks on the market i cant stand having to warranty shit out constantly and wait weeks for it to return also matco toolboxes are leagues better than snap on for the price, durability and options ill stand by that cuz i literally can

I buy from either as little as possible, however I have a lot more MATCO sruff vs snap on due to the snap on truck being gone by the time I start my shift each week and the matco guy is always cool as hell

matco is in fact just as good as snapon. shit quality vs shit quality. over priced junk vs overpriced junk. I have both so I can say that. I also have off brand like hf or kobalt and they last longer somehow. took me years of wasting money to figure that out.

I worked on EMD and ALCO engines for years. Pittsburgh is all you need. Snapon, proto, matco, bluepoint all break too easy

I bought a snap on box, milwaukee cordless tools, earthquake xt pneumatic, pittsburg/ icon hand tools, matco for power probe and electrical tools. snap on tools are fucking trash anymore. and the reps dont hook you up when you owe them your first born like they used to. now your lucky to get a shirt or hat

Matco is definitely more geared towards automotive than the heavy side. Some of their stuff is decent but not on par with SnapOn and Mac.
