The Soviets didn't name it "Mosin-Nagant", they had the official name "3-line Rifle Model 1891" or called it "Mosin Rifle". Just calling it Mosin Nagant in history video kind of leaves out what the people that used it actually called it.

nagant didnt design any part of the original trials rifle, he was in fact a competitor of mosin with his 4 line rifle. calling it a mosin-nagant is a misnomer. its just a mosin or a 3 line rifle.

it was mostly used in Finnish army in ww2. I used pystykorva in army and we were trined to use them even in 1989. i think we have those in warehouse somewhere. and its good rifle. i used Maxim too. Really nice machinegun IF one dont have to carry it 🤣
