God did not create evil, it is not a substance, it is an absence of Gods nature as understood by most theologians. Even if evil were a substance, the creator of it does not have to be evil if his motives are complex. as for Gods motives, since God is not constrained in a finite world, his motives may be so complex that it could be completely impossible to conjure up in this world, even if we were to use the brains of all mankind to its full capacity.

its easier to blame god for evil because its the path of least resistance its prideful people love to talk about god like they know him he sent his son for the very reason why humanity lives and thats meaning he gave his own life so that dying for him he will save our life because of how much he loves us god is the just and the justifier the punishment we deserve he took upon himself so that we dont have to to show how much he loves us despite our sin to say god doesnt love us is to be ungrateful of every single thing in our lives and I refuse to despair
