What is going on with women defending mothers accused of k*lling their own children? I have honestly never seen anything like this. Every time one of these horrific cases gets posted, the comments are flooded with women immediately making excuses for the mother instead of advocating for the CHILDREN who lost their lives. Ever since the Lindsay Clancy case, I feel like I’ve watched a disturbing trend grow where people rush to defend and make excuses for mothers accused of k*lling their own children. And in roughly the last month alone, there have been multiple cases: September 2026: Corey Walsh allegedly k*lled her 2-year-old son. September 29: Cibelle Savella allegedly k*lled her 4-year-old daughter after losing custody to the child’s father. September 2026: Justine Marie May was charged with homicide involving her two toddlers, both under 3. October 2026: Colleen Nicole Lemmon was charged with capital murder after allegedly shooting her two sons. Yet the comments are filled with: “It must’ve been postpartum.” “She must’ve been suffering.” “We don’t know what she was going through.” “I’m sure she had her reasons.” ENOUGH. These were CHILDREN. Mental illness and postpartum disorders are real, but an explanation is NOT an excuse for k*lling an innocent child. Normalizing, minimizing, and making excuses for this behavior only contributes to a culture that fails children. Mother or father, I don’t care. The victim is the child. Stop turning alleged perpetrators into victims and start advocating for the children who no longer have a voice. 🙏🏽 #TrueCrimeCommunity #truecrimenews #lindsayclancy #coreywalsh
