@biancajackson31: I spent a long time waiting for a version of myself who never struggles to finally show up. Guess what… she’s not coming. I used to think self-love was the reward at the finish line of healing. “I’ll be happy when I achieve more. When I get it right. When I stop making mistakes.” But that’s a trap. The moments I’m most proud of aren’t the ones where I was flawless. They’re the messy, quiet ones: admitting I was wrong, apologizing, and giving myself the grace to try again. If you’re struggling to feel proud of yourself right now, look in the mirror and change the story you’re telling yourself. Your mistakes have taught you what you want, what you don’t, and what you need. It takes courage to look honestly at yourself and see where you can grow.
