I adopted a boxer mix from the local shelter. He is about 60%boxer and then a bunch of other breeds. But he is the best dog! He babysits my 10 month old cavapoo puppy and she loves him to pieces. He just started swimming lessons and he swims like an otter. He does like to bark and jump though. But I would not trade him for anything. 💙

The worst part of a boxer is how cancer hits them so quickly 😔 I raised 2 daughters and there was always a boxer in the house and my daughters were loved by them ♥️

My older boxer fell in and sunk straight to the bottom of an 8 foot pool once..definitely didn’t even try to swim so definitely not a swimmer 😂

Once you get a boxer you will not want another breed. I feel like the main issue is they don’t live long enough 8-11 ish

We have three boxers. Our 11 year-old has always been chill even when she was a puppy or eight year-old is finally calming down and our seven month old is a wild thing, but she loves to swim.

I had 2 rescue boxers in high school that mated and we had 9 gorgeous, perfect babies in 2009. The last baby was born lifeless and we watched her sweet mom breathe life into her, so we had to keep that angel. At 11, she developed an insulinoma and we fought for her for 9 long months. Had to say my hardest goodbye in December 2021 when she was 12.5 years old. I’ve had many boxer loves, but she was my soul dog. I was by her side when she took her first breath and when she took her last ❤️

Lori loves boxers :
We have a boxer and a Bostons terrier and they are so great! Lots of energy but my husband and I like to stay active so it works well for us. We’ve raised our kids so now we have these goofballs to take care of. They’re a hoot!

We had a boxer who lived to almost 15 years. A month ago we lost our second boxer to cancer and he was only 9. We rescued him when he was 2 so he probably wasn’t from a reputable breeder. But we love boxers so much. They are the sweetest goofballs. We’ll try to rescue another boxer or two at some point.

I just lost my 11 year old boxer suddenly. she slipped and broke her femur. the vet said we could amputate but it was most likely bone cancer for her to have a break like that. we had to make the tough decision to let her go. she was my soul dog.
