@kanji_giggles: 集める（あつめる） and 集まる（あつまる） look almost identical, but here’s the trick: 集める = someone collects/gathers something → 切手を集めます。 I collect stamps. 集まる = people or things gather/come together → 人が集まります。 People gather. A useful clue is the particle 👀 を → 集めるが → 集まる And you’ll see 集 in everyday words too: 🌸 集合（しゅうごう）= gathering / meet-up 🌸 集中（しゅうちゅう）= concentration / focus Quick check: “People gathered at the station.” A, B or C?
