I never really hurt anyone in my life till recently and I feel so fucking horrid for how I hurt my now ex with a porn addiction I couldnt break. she deserved so much better than what i did to her. (im clean now and trying to make amends)

As a young man it was vitally important for me to learn this lesson, I remember in highschool I had wronged one of my good friends and he was pretty upset about it and then I proceeded to make a conscious decision that hurt the feelings of a girl I was interested in and I gave them both half ass apologies at the time and they obviously didn’t forgive me, and in my mind I simply accepted the idea I was a bad person or a piece of shit and I thought I was perfectly fine being that, but that wasn’t true at all acknowledging my mistake and asking those effected by my actions for forgiveness was just a hard thing to do. I laid myself out to both of them in person and said I was so extremely sorry for what I had bc these were people I cared abt and I had to leave up to them to forgive and that’s a scary thing to do but I mended those relationships that way
