@marissahurst1: I kept the date in the first half to show just how close it was to the day of the hurricane. 3 days before I was outside doing yardwork until the sun was going down. I was already so proud of the progress on my family’s property and documentation along the way, but Hurricane Helene set me wayyy back. Our community was not prepared for the devastation it would bring with it, and still has not fully recovered. We don’t have any fancy tools of heavy machinery. I’m lucky to own a lawnmower, mini chainsaw, and weedeater. Most of the work was put in with that and multiple helping hands along the way.
