I was a ❄️addict for 3.5 years… I lied, I stole, I got a DUI/OWI that is making my life hell rn with all the legal shit, I almost died/tried to end my life multiple times & I hurt a helluva lotta people I cared about & that cared about me, all for a drug that would never love me the way I loved it. In an effort to hopefully inspire people to get sober, I’ll briefly tell yall some of the bad shit that I did or that happened to me while I was in active addiction. I was using so much & so often, that I started having seizures. Yep… Grand mal, fall on the floor, start convulsing for a few minutes typpa seizures. I’d wake up with no memory of the event at all & often didn’t believe when the person I was with told me I had seizures. & keep in mind yall, I’m physically healthy besides this & the drug addiction, so it’s not like I had any other comorbidities besides mental ones. The amount of times I could’ve prolly died using snow & other drugs is insane. I think it was maybe the second time I tried to OD off oxy & Xanax while I was coming down from coke. All I remember after taking the pills and waiting for them to kick in, is standing up to go plug my phone in, & j falling to the floor. I woke up in my bed a day later, w/ no idea what happened. The only reason I’m still alive today is cuz my sis came home from work when she did & found me & narcanned me twice. I can’t even imagine how traumatic that must have been for her all cuz of my selfishness. The OWI is a whole different thing I’m still trynna sort out legally a year later. I haven’t driven in a year & I’m having so much trouble getting the job I worked so hard to graduate school for, with this on my record. So embarrassing. Anyways, there’s even more but I’ll spare yall lmao. The whole point of this comment is to say that now as of today, I am 23 days sober off everything( besides my prescribed adderall & Xanax.) !! I even stopped vaping; I’ll always miss ❄️& I still get triggered if Im around it or listening to people talk about it or whatever, but I’m not railing lines every night soooo I’m pretty proud of that :) longest I’ve had clean in 3.5 years…

I just turned 24 and I just told my mom days ago I don’t remember 10 years of my life for what? For what? Rehab taught me one thing. If you don’t stop now you’re gonna forget even more until you’re old and realize you didn’t just waste 10 years of your life you wasted 30..
