one thing that helped me was putting my phone on silent for 5/10/20/30^ minutes so i’m able to relax my brain by practicing! You're essentially teaching your brain: “I can be unreachable for a while, and I can still be safe.”

Ur not alone❤️‍🩹 I live across the country from my family. my dad had a three strokes last year and I found out by phone call. Still to this day my heart drops every time he calls me because I’m scared it’s my step mom calling to say he’s in the hospital and may not make it. Thank you for sharing that it gets better💕

I felt the same way. When I lost my dad, I found out over the phone, and for a very long time afterwards, I felt anxious whenever I had a missed call…. 💔

I can relate sm girl I lost my dad 3 months ago my phone is glued to me and I see signs all the time driving, music, anything anytime I get a call I still go into fight or flight 😭❤️
