I gave it photos and asked it to make a video. The bridge connected ChatGPT to the editor, so Astra worked inside DaVinci Resolve instead of sending me editing instructions. Here’s the full setup: 1. Download DaVinci Resolve 21.0.3. 2. Open Codex, choose GPT-6 Astra, and set the reasoning effort to light. 3. Give Astra the DaVinci Resolve MCP repository link. Let it handle the setup. 4. Restart DaVinci Resolve after the installation finishes. 5. Create a new project. Open Workspace, choose Scripts, then run resolve_bridge. 6. Point Astra to your photos and ask it to make a video. The order matters. Finish the MCP setup before restarting DaVinci Resolve. Then create the project and launch resolve_bridge from the Scripts menu. Once the connection is live, give Astra your source photos and a clear editing request. This workflow turns a chat request into work inside a desktop video editor.
