The main problem with Rupture is that there is no boss outside of Wandering Hunter that is made for rupture, so they basically have a useless mechanic cuz they can't take advantage of it

They have no variety in disk slots if you pulled for yixuan then you’re good on pulling any other rupture agent and finally none of them have any defining role other than being main dps none of them are sub dps like even normal attacker has sub dps characters

To be fair, it’s common in gacha games to have the meta shift over time. At the beginning of season 2 we saw the devs really try to shove anomaly (mainly Miyabi) out of the meta with anti-shill bosses, and now anomaly teams are some of the strongest in the game with the release of Remielle. Rupture will probably come back into meta after Sunbringer or Version 4, and then Wind and Armorer will seem like cash grabs in the future. The meta just doesn’t tailor to rupture like it used to. But trust that this is the life cycle of the game and rupture characters will be usable again in the future.

i mean. that's the point. 1.0 is the introduction of the game where we learn what is the game about. 2.0 is where the game really shines and challenges us that this is no ordinary hack and slash. You have to actually make an investment and fight your way through

Rupture is the only class in the game that can brute force 20K on everything with no usable buffs. They're not useless, and S Billy is still top 3 crit DPS.

It's tragic how everyone told new players to pick Lucia when Banyue is the only slightly relevant rupture agent due to the lack of a better fire dps.
