There are plenty of invisible illnesses though that make it impossible to hold down a regular job. I don’t know this girl’s story but please remember there are actual people that cannot work due to a disability that isn’t just being in a wheelchair etc

As someone who's disabled who's doctor says I should take it easy. I work 50 hours a week. I found a job working from home and have accommodations which my job is amazing with helping with my super is amazing. I also do the best I can to make dinner, do laundry and clean my house. For awhile I was confined to my bed for almost 3 months and I still worked from my bed. I feel like unless you are in a vegetative state, there is a job out there that will be willing to work with you. This is just my opinion ❤️

My MIL is paralyzed from the waist down. When she was working age she worked as a receptionist. The disability bus would pick her up every morning

I “can work” … the problem is that the jobs can’t really accommodate it, and it’s really difficult to KEEP a job. I still try tho and want to be working, I’m thinking maybe house cleaning but I can’t drive. However if I’m working in a team maybe I can carpool. My last job gave me a medical leave of absence. I didn’t even ask, they just told me to take it, and when I came back to work they stopped giving me hours at all because I’m “unreliable”. :/ It’s stuff like that which is the issue. I treat my disability as a fail safe, not a “get out of work” card

I’m a nurse with Von Willie Brands disease. My hemoglobin gets so low that when I go to the ER to get blood the test is ran three times to make sure it really says my hemoglobin is that low. My lowest has been 2.7 and I FUNCTIONED like that for two weeks before I went in. I developed hypovolemic POTS and CVS because I was incompatible with life. Got the blood and STILL WENT TO WORK ON MONDAY. Come on now. lol

I have rheumatoid arthritis. I am in literal physical pain head to toe 24/7 but I still clock in for my 9:00 to 5:00 and just sit there on fire.
