Legit the dumbest reason why we stopped being friends, and then she started violating me, calling me a beg, all because I didn’t come to school that one day. (Cuz I went to buy Eid clothes.) It was shirt signing in Year 11, and she said, “You’re sitting at home like a loner,” and started bringing up old stuff about how I never used to get on with this girl because we had issues, but now I’m friends with her. Then I said, “You did the same thing. You weren’t friends with one of my girls, and now you’re good with each other.” Then she said, “Oh, but we are friends now,” which irked me because she never wanted to listen to my POV. She legit blocked me on everything, TikTok, Messages, WhatsApp, all because I didn’t tell her that I told my friend two girls in the group were talking bad about her. (I basically admitted it wasn’t me.) Which I do regret, I should’ve told her. I did try and make peace with the girl and tell her I’m sorry. Then she said, “I haven’t got a problem with you.” Yet I’m blocked on everything. She never apologised and said she was sorry for the things she said to me. But I wasn’t looking to get us back to being friends. I just wanted to tell her from my POV that I’m sorry we ended our 3/4 year friendship over something so stupid, and that it was wrong. I’d rather try and fix something rather than die and not try to make peace, because at least I’ve done my bit. And if we kept going back and forth, it would just be a waste. So I bit the bullet, apologised, and that is it. I’ve done my part.

There’s a massive difference between building up drama and someone who struggles to communicate boundaries to the point they finally snap. Neither are fun on the receiving end. But it’s stupid to define scenarios like this in absolutes because it automatically assigns you as a victim

Trust me, I would have preferred to stay friends with everyone that has ever meant something to me. But when someone repeatedly shows me vocally and through their actions how little they actually care about me without any kind of understanding that they are constantly hurting me, it’s impossible not to build resentment.
