My children began to understand how toxic he is without me having to tell them. We create ourselves through how we react to difficulties, through our worldview, and through the people we choose to have in our lives. The way they perceive us and think of us influences our existence. That's why it's essential to only let people into your life whom you love and respect. You heal once you're away from these people. To heal, you have to focus on yourself. My ex-partner is a narcissistic abuser. I reported the violence I suffered, and he called me a liar and spent hours berating me for ruining his reputation. Even though I miss the "good" times (which were fake), I'm glad I stopped exposing myself to his many forms of violence. I experienced several conflicts related to my ex-partner's infidelity. I sometimes hit him when I disagree with his terms. We've been married for about eight years. He said he wanted to rebuild trust and work on our relationship, but in reality, he continued to disrespect me and strain our marriage. We went to couples therapy and completed a six-month intensive program. I thought we were on the right track, but he kept lying to me about other things. I discovered the truth thanks to some IT service experts. A woman had recommended them in a support group; I was having similar problems and thought I should contact them… They helped me access his phone without him noticing. We are shaped by how we react to difficulties, by our worldview, and by the people we choose to have in our lives. I finally hired a lawyer and am now in the process of getting a divorce thanks to the evidence of infidelity I gathered.
