If rex did feathers, I imagine it would be something like elephants and rhinos with their hair

“I wonder if T. Rex being warm blooded implies that nanuq might be less feathered than previously thought?” Lakota on the paleo pod like a day before feathered T. Rex returns

I like to think that the feathers on T. rex was quite sparse akin to the hairs on a elephant

This actually reminds me of an old convo I had where somebody showed me this fossil image, iirc it was either about Wyrex itself having found feather on it or it was related to just advanced tyrannosaurids in general having feather. I think this was on the Wyrex specimen

Unsure, given how we already do have skin impressions from T.rex and close relatives confirming small scales on multiple areas of the body’s surface. Could tie in to the minimal feather idea.

As someone who's so used to it having minimal fuzz, I can't WAIT to see how media will depict T. rex being fluffy if this ends up being true, which it seems to be. I'd love to try depicting it in an artwork if so!

Why is it only trex when feathers are discussed? Why not dinosaurs like giga or large carnivores of other family groups like megalsuars and charcharadontasaurs

What about something like the megataptorans from the kaimere books in that they are used to shade the large therapod from the sun

It’s a pretty funny thought that T Rex was going around showing off feathered arms. But it’s only funny because of its reputation! I like it’s cool and I hope they have bright colours too

did they say anything else about feathers? because not seeing scales could just mean it has smooth skin right?
