Thanks e hoa. Took my daughter and foster moko to the old gaol in Lyttelton today where their tupuna from Parihaka were illegally detained, built roads and retaining walls - bodies discarded. Went on to teach how 20-30 years on, men were illegally detained because they wouldn't volunteer to be WW1 gun fodder - cold starving bodiesdiscarded...and so on.
