@inventionontt: Original Video Credit: @Sesamefamily Pressed into a container of soft sesame paste, the unusual rounded ladle sinks beneath the layer of oil that naturally separates and collects on top. Instead of scooping a large amount of the thicker paste along with it, the tool allows the separated oil to enter through its small openings. The hollow rounded body can be immersed deeply while exposing only limited openings to the surrounding mixture. Oil flows into the ladle through these holes, while the thicker, more viscous sesame paste is less able to enter, reducing the amount of paste collected compared with an open ladle. The design provides a simple mechanical way to separate liquids from thicker mixtures without filters or powered equipment. By taking advantage of differences in consistency and flow, the utensil makes it easier to recover the oil that separates from sesame paste while minimizing unwanted solids.
